Agreeing to these terms
These terms apply when you use the Fieldstone Pinecrest Concrete Coatings website, ask us for an estimate or hire us for work at your home or business. If you use the site or book work with us, you're agreeing to these terms, so please read them first.
If you have a signed estimate, proposal or contract with us, that document controls the details of your job. These terms fill in anything it doesn't cover.
What we do
We're a flooring contractor in Pinecrest, FL, and we coat, polish, seal, resurface and prepare concrete floors for homes and businesses in Pinecrest and the cities around it. Our home page lists the services we offer, and our about page tells you more about who we are.
The descriptions on this site explain our work in general terms. What we'll do on your floor, the products we'll use and the finish you'll get are set out in your written estimate or contract, because every slab is different.
Estimates and pricing
We give free in-person estimates with no obligation to hire us. An estimate is based on what we can see and measure on the visit, so the price can change if the work turns up something we couldn't see beforehand, such as moisture coming up through the slab, old coatings under the surface, or cracks and damage that need repair before we coat.
If we find something like that, we'll stop, show you, and explain your options and what they cost before we do any extra work. We won't add charges you haven't agreed to.
An estimate is good for the period written on it. After that, we may need to update it because material costs and our schedule change.
Scheduling, delays and cancellations
We'll agree on a start date with you and do our best to keep it. Concrete coatings depend on conditions, so rain, high humidity, a slab that's too damp, a late material delivery or a problem we find during prep can push the schedule back, and we'll tell you as soon as we know.
If you need to reschedule or cancel, call us as early as you can. If we've already ordered special materials or started prep work, you may owe for those costs, as set out in your estimate or contract.
Coatings need time to cure before anyone walks or drives on them. We'll tell you when the floor is ready for foot traffic, furniture and vehicles, based on the coating maker's instructions, and you agree to keep people, pets and cars off it until then.
Payment
Your estimate or contract states the price, any deposit and when each payment is due. Unless it says otherwise, the balance is due when the work is complete.
If a payment is late, we may pause any remaining work until it's paid. You're responsible for reasonable costs we incur collecting an unpaid balance, where the law allows.
Your part in getting the floor ready
You agree to give our crew safe access to the work area and to clear it of vehicles, furniture, stored items and anything else that can move, unless we've agreed to do that for you. We'll also need working power and water on site.
Please tell us before we start about anything that affects the floor, such as past water problems, earlier coatings or sealers, radiant heat or anything buried in the slab. If we aren't told, we can't account for it, and our guarantee may not cover problems it causes.
Our guarantee and what it doesn't cover
Our work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee. If something about the job isn't right, call us and we'll come back and look at it. Any written warranty on materials or workmanship, and how long it lasts, will be stated in your estimate or contract.
Our guarantee doesn't cover damage from misuse, impact, dropped tools, harsh chemicals, hot tires on a floor that wasn't built for them, or not following the care steps we give you. It also doesn't cover problems that start in the concrete itself, such as moisture, settling or new cracks in the slab, or changes in color and wear that are normal for the finish you chose.
Apart from what's written in your estimate, contract or these terms, we don't make any other promises about our work or this website, to the extent Florida law allows. Product warranties come from the makers of those products and follow their terms.
Limits on our liability
We're licensed and fully insured, and we take responsibility for our own work. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.
We aren't responsible for indirect losses, such as lost use of your garage or business, lost profits or costs that come from delays outside our control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that Florida law doesn't allow a business to limit.
Using this website
The information on this site is general and may not fit your floor. It isn't professional advice for your specific job, and you should rely on what we tell you after we've seen your concrete.
The photos, text and design on this site belong to Fieldstone Pinecrest Concrete Coatings or are used with permission. Please don't copy them for commercial use without asking us.
Settling a disagreement
If you're unhappy with anything, call us first at (786) 435-0197, because most problems get fixed fastest by talking them through and having us take another look at the floor.
If we can't work it out between us, either of us may bring a claim in the state or county courts that serve Miami-Dade County, Florida, and both of us agree to those courts handling it.
Florida law applies
These terms, and any work we do for you, are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the one that applies. Changes won't affect a job already covered by a signed estimate or contract unless we both agree in writing.
